Experience: 4.2*
Cream Tea: 4*
Cost: £3.80 (small) £5.25 (large)
Tom was rudely awoken from his slumber. He couldn't be further away from the cream tea state of mind. This was going to be a struggle.
We fill our vans with a team of hungy beach bums and make our way to the Mowhay Cafe.
Jimmy (pictured) is reincarnated and joins us and Harriet make her first appearance- she chooses cake and green tea..
Tom continues to be a grump but we press on and thouroughly enjoy the afternoon.
Scones were good, as were the cream and jam (comes with half a strawberry)
The combination of royal ascot and imperial china crockery, accompanied by tiny milk bottles made the afternoons facade a delight to behold.
