Cost: £5.50 Cream tea: 4.3 star
Experience: 4 star
Had a morning surf and its now lunch time. Heading to Boscastle for a cream tea.
Just arrived and Max is on a sneezing rampage. We have heard a rumour of a place called Harbour Lights selling a good cream tea.
We resist the urge to go into one of the many other enticing establishments and concentrate on the mission
at hand.
Max went to blow his sniffly nose and came back to the tea already set on the table. The milk was full to the brim- almost to the point of a joke. There was enough for 3 cups of lose leaf tea each and Churchill’s finest china made for a good start. 2 large warm scones arrive and they are definitely homemade because it looks like they have been baked sideways.
Its early to make assumptions but i can see the cream to scone ratio could be frig.* We have had to ration our condiments a little but all in all a good cream tea.
*Frig- not sure what this word means but its on a shop sign, i like it and it sounds suitable.
