Tom is late for work and the wind is howling through the noisy umbrella. We have both had to take out a loan in order to share one cream tea between two of us.
Our cream tea shows up and we are assured the extra £1.50 has been spent on the view, which is of a hedge with a little section trimmed out of it.
Scones were glazed, one fruit and one plain. The jam and cream were both in their original pots but presented nicely.
Tea was accompanied by a small biscuit.
