We went for a run this morning and Max outran a greyhound. It's the truth. Now it is time for a cream tea. This was round 2 at The Longcross Hotel- Trelights
Cream tea: 3.4 stars Experience: 3 stars Cost: £6.95
Saw the giant lobster again which was nice but when we enquired about the cream teas the chap behind the bar was reluctant and said we should have cider. He clearly hasn't heard of us.
It was presented on one plate with no side plates so we had to use our saucers. The scones were stodgy but quite nice in a way. There was ample cream and jam- tasty jam but cream didn't seem fresh as it ripped apart our scones when lightly applied.
The tea was in short supply and we all feel like we need another tea.
The best thing about this experience were the napkins that were so strong Chris couldn't tear through them. The view is pretty cool as well. It's a shame as there is potential for a high scorer. It didn't cut it for £6.95. Felt a bit out of place but at least it's sunny.
(Forget to get a photo when they first arrived)
